After the campers have attended their three structured and assigned programs for the day, there is one period each day that is left unscheduled or “open”. During this free program, all of the camp’s programs operate and the campers all get to choose which programs they would like to attend and for how long. Campers are allowed to move freely from program to program for the entire 45 minute period. Campers are allowed to try new programs or go back to programs that they have already had that day if they would like to get extra time at a favorite program. There is no requirement that they stay at the program for any length of time, so many of our veteran campers use the hour to try out two to three different programs each afternoon.
