Dr. Richard Cowdell, Camp Director
Rich is entering his 32nd year as director and his 35th year on staff at Camp Rotary. Rich holds a doctorate in educational leadership and recently retired from a lengthy career in education as a popular teacher, counselor, and middle school principal for a local public school system. He is a certified educational psychologist, a basketball ref, a baseball umpire, and speaks fluent Spanish! He is married to Irene, a retired elementary school principal. They have two daughters, Kelsey (middle school ESL teacher) and Sarah (high school teacher / college counselor) . Sarah, will be returning this year as our Program Director. (35th year on staff)
Lisa Cullivan-White, Assistant Director
Lisa assists in the supervision of the entire camp operation and directs the camp if Rich is not onsite. Like Rich, she resides at camp during the summer. Her two daughters, Estrella and Juliana, attended camp for many years and participated in our LIT and CIT programs . Lisa is a second grade teacher and dance instructor throughout the school year. She worked previously as our Program Director. (25th year on staff).
Sarah Cowdell, Program Director
Sarah, has been attending camp since she was born! She has been a camper, CIT, counselor, unit head, CIT Director and for the past 5 years, Program Director. As the Program Director, she works with the leadership team to schedule all campers into programs that they individually choose. She also works with the counselors to ensure that the programs offered are of the highest quality. During the school year, Sarah works at a high school as a college liaison in an early college program. She also works privately, assisting students with college applications. (13th year on staff).
