Any camper who is currently taking any prescription medicines or anticipates needing any over-the-counter medications on a regular basis MUST enroll in the CampRX.com program. In an effort to ensure accurate dispensing of all medications, campers who know in advance that they will be requiring any meds MUST enroll in this program (there is an additional cost that is paid directly to CampRx.com). CampRx.com will pre-package each dosage that your child will be needing and send all of these packages to the camp for dispensing by our nurses. This service requires parents to register and handle all med orders between 30 and 60 days before the child’s first day in camp. Obviously, the camp will continue to stock over-the-counter medicines in the infirmary for use when campers unexpectedly require medicines due to illness or injury.
There is a nurse on duty and on site 24 hours/day from the opening to the close of each session. A nurse is on call for the weekend stayovers.
We ask for all of our parents and campers to remain patient as the nurses thoroughly review all medications at check-in. We are sure that you are as concerned as we are that medications be correctly logged and set for administration for the week for your child and others as well… It is the one area where we tend to be a little slow at check-in… hopefully you can understand why!
