In recent weeks the contractors have begun framing the new dining hall that is being built in the same general area as the original dining hall. Although sad to see the original building go, it was built in 1921 and outlasted everyone’s expectations. The new, larger, wheelchair accessible building will have some great amenities: double the kitchen space, floor to ceiling windows in the dining area that provide a fantastic view of the pond, both an indoor and outdoor fireplace, bathrooms and a large deck off of the back of the building. The building is scheduled to be completed this spring with the grand opening to be celebrated week 1 of the summer of 2020.
